Communication Counts

Do you have good ideas but just can’t always express them? Do you want to communicate more effectively in order to influence others? By maximising the impact of your spoken words and body language, this course will boost your confidence and give you the skills and knowledge to become a more effective communicator. You will:

  • Examine your own communication skills
  • Identify your own and others’ style of communication and what to do when it differs
  • Understand the use of language, body language, emotion and expression
  • Practise new skills in communication
  • Learn strategies for influencing and persuading others to reach win-win situations
  • Practise verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Identify push-pull styles
  • Develop the art of influence and persuasion
  • Learn how to raise problems, issues and questions in a confident manner
  • Facilitated in a fun and interactive way

About this workshop

  • This workshop will involve you in a mixture of interactive exercises and discussion. There will be opportunities to practise your new skills through role playing exercises in a supportive atmosphere.
  • Our trainers are experts in their topic and deliver courses in a practical, interactive style
  • The maximum number of people on a training course is 12 so that the trainer can accommodate the learning needs of each delegate
  • A two course buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffee are included in the price

Timing
Courses start at 9.30 a.m. and end at 4.30 p.m. with half an hour for lunch.

Anyone who wants to communicate more effectively or increase their confidence dealing with people face-to-face will benefit from this workshop.

Level: IntroductorySupport available If your business is located in the West of Scotland you may be eligible for a grant of up to 50% of the cost of participating in these courses.

There are a number of places available which are reserved for businesses with less than 250 employees and companies must meet certain eligibility criteria.

If you have a group of 12 people who need the same training customised learning is a cost effective way to develop them and costs can be as little as £100 per person.
